Key Dates
As our new GOYA year kicks off in September, I wanted to share a few key dates with you:
- September 8th: Annual Welcome Back Picnic immediately following the Divine Liturgy.
- September 15th: First day of Sunday School & swearing-in of the incoming GOYA board.
- September 16th: Basketball practices begin and will recur every Monday. Girls practice at 6:30 pm and Boys practice at 7:30 pm.
- September19th: First dance practice at 7pm. Dance will be every Thursday onward from the 19th. Please reach out to our dance teacher Agnoula Marcantonis with any questions or concerns. Our first performance is at the 90th Anniversary gala on November 2nd.
Who we are?
Hello fellow Parishioners – My name is Vasili Dargakis and I have the honor of serving as GOYA President at Holy Trinity Wilmington for this upcoming year. I am a senior at Garnet Valley High School and excited to have the opportunity to lead our GOYA during my last year. I would like to thank our outgoing Board and Co-Presidents Eleni Marcantonis and Christina Pennia for an amazing year. The GOYA community is grateful for their contributions and all the wonderful memories we created together.
I would now like to introduce the rest of our new GOYA board:
- Vice President: Anastasia Thomas, Odyssey Charter School, 11th Grade, “I am open to new ideas for our GOYA!”
- Treasurer: Sia Dargakis, Garnet Valley High School, 10th Grade, “I am excited for the new GOYA year to start!”
- Eleni Marcantonis, Rustin High School, 11th Grade, “I am hoping to get new events scheduled this year!”
- Anna Psihalinos, Kingsway Regional High School, 10th Grade, “Ready to get down to business this year!”
We are all looking forward to a fantastic year with our GOYA members and look forward to building new memories with all of you!
